We opened our doors Fall 2026!
Our Approach
Educating the Whole Child
Our curriculum draws on Rudolf Steiner’s philosophy and brings together arts, humanities, math, and science. Students learn through academic study, creative work, and practical experience.
Holistic Approach
Students develop academic, artistic, and practical skills together. Thinking, feeling, and doing all have a place in the classroom.
Interdisciplinary Curriculum
Lessons connect literature, science, math, and the humanities, helping students see how each subject relates to the others.
Arts Integration
Students use the arts in every subject to explore ideas, express themselves, and make sense of what they are learning.
Small Classes, Individual Attention
Small class sizes give teachers time to know each student, respond to their questions, and offer individualized attention as they learn and grow.
“The full flowering of the Waldorf education happens in the high school years.”
Karl Johnson, Mentor to Sun Prairie

Our Story
Built by Local Families, for Students Everywhere
Lawrence has a long history of Waldorf-inspired education. In 2024, a group of local parents began planning a high school so students could continue that education through graduation. Their goal was to open in fall 2026.
In early 2026, Sun Prairie partnered with the Lawrence Arts Center for classroom space and arts instruction. We opened that fall with 11 ninth-grade students, becoming the only private, non-faith-based high school in Lawrence.
